# Start here for AI agents

> Discover AionCX documentation, select the right scoped credential, and complete Mach-1 or Atlas tasks through existing APIs and MCP tools.

An authorized agent can discover supported AionCX operations, submit work, and retrieve its results through REST or MCP. Start with the task and input, use the credential for that domain, and follow the returned state to a useful result.

## Connect with one URL

Add this remote MCP server in your agent's settings:

```text theme={"system"}
https://build.aioncx.com/api/mcp
```

Choose OAuth / automatic authentication. AionCX opens in your browser:

1. Sign up and verify your email, or sign in to your existing account.
2. New eligible accounts get their workspace, starter analysis Definition and configured starter credit through the existing signup flow.
3. Choose one workspace and approve the displayed read/submit permissions.
4. Return to your agent. The client exchanges a one-time code and saves the scoped credential automatically. Do not copy passwords or tokens into chat.

The connection expires after 90 days. Reconnect through the same approval flow when it expires; refresh tokens are not issued. Revoke the `Agent: …` connection in **Build → Developers** at any time. Membership and capabilities are rechecked on every operation. Connecting does not itself submit or charge for processing.

Try: **“Find my starter analysis Definition, then analyze a conversation I provide and show the findings with evidence.”**

[Connection instructions](https://build.aioncx.com/build/connect) show the same URL. Clients without OAuth, REST applications, forecasts and native Atlas operations can use the explicit keys below. This initial OAuth connection grants conversation read/submit access only; it does not grant forecasting, source setup, membership or billing administration.

## 1. Read the current documentation

This documentation site exposes a public `/llms.txt` index and a separate `/mcp` documentation-search endpoint. Connect that endpoint in clients that support it, or follow the index and page links directly.

Documentation search reads instructions. Product processing uses the application endpoint below.

## 2. Select the connection

| Task | Connection and credential |
| - | - |
| Search these public docs | This site's documentation MCP |
| Transcribe or analyze conversations | `https://build.aioncx.com/api/mcp` with OAuth, or an `atlas_ingest_` scoped key |
| Submit or read Mach-1 forecasts | The same application MCP with explicitly granted `forecast:submit` / `forecast:read` |
| Use native Atlas workforce operations | Your organization's Atlas `/api/mcp` with an `atlas_mcp_` connection and the relevant workspace/domain grants |
| Use Workforce REST | The native external connection also needs explicit `api:connect` |

A person establishes the account, verifies email, configures sources, creates the connection, and funds the account when required. Store the supplied credential in the client environment or secret configuration.

## 3. Discover tools

A standard MCP client initializes the connection and calls `tools/list`. The server returns tools visible under that credential's current authority.

For a direct discovery check, set `MACH1_API_KEY` and `MACH1_MCP_URL` in the environment. Use the workspace query selector on the URL when the key grants multiple workspaces.

```bash theme={"system"}
curl --fail-with-body "$MACH1_MCP_URL" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $MACH1_API_KEY" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -H 'Accept: application/json, text/event-stream' \
  -H 'MCP-Protocol-Version: 2025-06-18' \
  --data '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list","params":{}}'
```

## 4. Complete a task

### Transcribe and analyze a conversation

1. Use `mach1_get_transport` for upload endpoints and limits.
2. Use `mach1_list_analysis_definitions` when analysis is required. Select real published version IDs; an omitted list requests no analysis.
3. Submit an audio URL or transcript with the caller's saved idempotency key. Local audio bytes and oversized transcripts use direct receiver transport.
4. Retain the interaction ID and revisions. Poll `mach1_get_status`.
5. Read `mach1_get_transcript` and `mach1_get_results`, following pagination and citing evidence.

See [transcription](https://docs.aioncx.com/mach1/transcription.md), [analysis](https://docs.aioncx.com/mach1/analysis.md), and [results](https://docs.aioncx.com/mach1/results.md).

### Request a forecast

1. For registered metrics, use `mach1_list_forecast_sources` with the authorized workspace.
2. Construct the numerical or metric request described in [forecasting](https://docs.aioncx.com/mach1/forecasting.md).
3. Call `mach1_submit_forecast` with `request` and the caller's saved `idempotency_key`.
4. Retain `run_id` and the returned price.
5. Poll `mach1_get_forecast`, then retrieve every result page with the same quantile selection.

### Prepare workforce work in Atlas

Begin with `atlas_discover_workforce`. Review the source evidence, use the existing setup preview where needed, then use the paired staffing, draft, and publication operations your connection is granted.

Follow the [Workforce contract](https://docs.aioncx.com/api-reference/workforce/overview.md) for exact selectors, recoverable keys, current-source checks, and publication states. The [operator guide](https://docs.aioncx.com/atlas/resource-management.md) explains the same work in application terms.

## 5. Report the outcome

State the task, saved request/run ID, result state, useful findings or forecast, and relevant limitations. Cite available source evidence. Distinguish a completed result from accepted work still waiting to run.

After an uncertain submission, retry the original payload with its original key. Explain a funding or permission blocker and direct the person to the appropriate screen. Billing-ledger reconciliation requires an authorized billing view; scoped result access alone does not supply it.

The [Mastra example](https://docs.aioncx.com/mach1/mastra.md) provides an executable client. Setup, funding, and key replacement remain human setup steps in that example.
